trip to sonic

today we took a trip to target and babies r us to get some clothes for quinn that fit. after a fairly successful trip, we decided to treat the new mom to some sonic. we even brought home two bags of sonic ice which made her so happy.

as we continue to acquaint quinn with sleeping in inanimate objects, we are trying to use his little lamb swing more and more. here quinn is chilling in the swing.

when he is in the swing, good big sister bella watches over him. kelli was able to capture a great shot of bella as a sentry. as a reward, she and leila got a trip to the park with daddy. she played fetch for 35 minutes while leila ran alongside and courted a boy shih tzu... or was overcome by advances from said shih tzu.

quinn is ready to hit the town. with his matching hat and shirt and sweet old man shoes, quinn was looking good.

quinn needed to stay warm against the cold so we put his bundle me into the carseat. it engulfs him but keeps him so warm. he has been a good sleeper in the car the past two days. for some reason, he always has his hands up by his face. he doesn't necessarily suck on them or use them yet they are ever-present. it makes kelli and i laugh because it reminds us of this scene in talladega nights: what to do with my hands. specifically, the 20 second mark to the 47 second mark.

tomorrow we are supposed to get the snow that hit d.c. and delaware in recent days. we have heard anything from 4 to 18 inches, but unlike those other two cities that will not shut us down for days. it is nice to be home with my family instead of at work so we can marvel at the beauty of the snow rather than worry about shoveling before or after work. i cannot wait for quinn to be old enough to enjoy the snow with me similar to our nephew michael enjoying the snow with brian and phuong!
