he's so good with her. the other day he was ducking down next to her to get her toy that had rolled under the table (without me even asking him to do that!) and she reached down and pulled HARD on his hair. because that's what she does now. he cried for a minute, even after i released her death grip on his hair. i tried to explain to him that she didn't mean to do it, not thinking he would really understand that. but after he had calmed down he walked back to her, gave her a kiss, and then finished getting the toy for her without me even asking. such a sweet big brother.
hanging out with caroline while she eats
i love this one. some mornings we all seem to end up in our bed...which feels very small once all four of us are in it! this day they both feel back asleep in our bed and got a little extra sleep before time to start the day.
reading books together in caroline's play mat. excuse quinn's "smile"...we are going through a bit of a difficult time getting him to look normal in pictures. i can't imagine where he gets that from... :)
i love that they already have such a special bond. tonight i was having a rough night getting them both ready for bed while john was at his softball game. both kids were way overtired from a busy day and nobody was really very happy. but the minute i set caroline in quinn's bed to sing and pray together before time to go to sleep, the mood lifted and everyone was happy. they giggled and sang songs and snuggled together....such a sweet ending to a stressful evening. i love those babies so much.
