quinn has been enjoying his room, though it still has a box or two in it. no problem for him. he crawled right up and sat down on it. between this and his adventure at the park, he has turned in to quite the climber.
today, we went to the zoo, using our annual membership given to us by grammy and grandpa. the nice part of having that is we can come for a couple hours, leave, and not feel like we didn't get our money's worth.
here is my sweetie with q. this is a look he has perfected lately and i absolutely love. it is mildly inquisitive and the rest innocent.

overall his attention span for the animals was minimal, but a few times he watched them. the chimps, elephants, and gorillas all put on nice shows for us.

most of the time he just wanted to walk, however. we held his hand at times, but he was quite independent and walked a lot on his own.

here is a typical face he had watching the animals... unconcerned and not bothered to care. that was fine with us, though. he had fun walking and looking at a few animals and kelli & i had fun being a family at the zoo.

here is the only family picture. a lady was nice enough to take it of us. she was extremely proud of framing us with the orangutan over q's head.

kel pointing out the elephants to q. we were much more entertained by their interaction than the youngster was.

the part of the zoo q liked: wide roads on which to walk. it is crazy the difference four days makes. then he would usually fall after 3-4 steps to crawl. now he walks until he gets too excited, tries to run, and then falls.

the fish did catch our boy's eye. leaving the reptiles and fish exhibit, there was a very well cleaned pane of glass. twice q walked up to it, bumped his head, and then stretched out his hand to find the glass. i tried to get a video of it but the whippersnapper was too smart. nothing gets by our boy thrice!
