14 months

it gives us so much joy to see quinn growing and learning and becoming a little boy. and he is such a little boy! he loves cars and balls. he will walk around dribbling his little soccer ball and he loves his little basketball hoop from uncle scott and aunt alexis. if he's awake, he really doesn't stop moving...unless he's reading his books, which is one of his favorite new activities. several times each day he will go in his room, pull out all of his books, and just sit in the middle of them and "read". so cute! he is also really starting to love playing on the playground - he will climb up the steps, walk over bridges, and go down even the big slides pretty much on his own now.

our baby that ate everything has recently turned into a toddler that is very particular about what he will eat. one day he loves something and the next day he won't let it anywhere near his mouth. he will pretty consistently eat cheese, fruit, and yogurt, but anything else may or may not go over well depending on what he decides that day. he is stubborn!

quinn has been walking for about 3 weeks now and is pretty steady, but i think being so top-heavy is a little challenging on his balance :). he has what is probably more than his fair share of scrapes, bumps, and bruises...most of which tend to be on his poor little head. i guess that's one positive thing about having a hard-headed little boy!

he's starting to "talk" more and in the past week he's really started mimicking the words we say. today i asked him at lunch if he wanted more cheese and he looked at me and said what sounded like "yep!". he can follow directions and if you ask him if he wants to sing a song, he'll start doing the motions for "the wheels on the bus". he now knows the motions for 4 verses of that song! and he has recently started pointing to his shoes and going "shhh shhhh".

we just love this little boy so much! we enjoy every moment we are with him and we are thankful that God has blessed us to be his parents. thanks for sharing in our special memories!
