team panther.... ggggggrrrrrooooowwwwlllll

so i know those of you who have not heard what we are having are quite annoyed that it has taken us a week to post the results... and now you have to wait through another post. sorry.

last thursday, kel and i flew out to chicago and drove to holland, michigan for the wedding of two wonderful people, panther and sarah. i have no pictures of meeting the cooks for lunch at the curragh (sweet irish pub in downtown holland, which was a very cute little town) or the bachelor party thursday night so we will start with friday morning when we went to the lake michigan beach.

the beach was beautiful though the sand was very hot and the water very cold. even with the sign saying the water was 56 degrees, which it felt like, dan insured us "no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. there is no way it is that cold. it is more like 75." panther lied to me for the first time. that i know of.

we ate lunch out there. here q is polishing off the end of his lunch... cheddar bunnies!

the house we stayed at was fantastic. 5 bedrooms, huge living room opening to the kitchen, a 2 minute walk to the lake, and a ping pong table, among other benefits.... basically ty found us a gem. we split it with teams thomason, puetz, cook, and demuth. so much better than a hotel. the best find was an eddie bauer cornhole set. we played it at the beach, outside the house, inside the house (!), and even at the church before the wedding. it was fantastic. here curtis shows good form while thomason watches.

q enjoyed playing in the sand. we went to the lake, got ice cold water, and poured enough on the sand to cool it while not making it muddy. pretty creative, i do say.

when not playing in the sand, he enjoyed watching us play cornhole or watching the water. no matter what he did, he looked wicked cute.

we made a few trips down to the water. this was the first. q got close enough to let the water touch his feet and that was enough to make him cry. looking at it was enough fun from that point on...

more cornhole after that. tyson is dominant throwing south. north... not so much.

q and eden playing in the sand. the house also had eight chairs and lots of sand toys.

we ran out of water for the kids to play with so a trip to the lake with buckets was necessary. q didn't love walking on the sand, but he was very cute when holding people's hands.

the rehearsal dinner was at a lovely little restaurant called the biscuit. it was a great time to meet families and i got a little time with q and eden. no pictures of everyone looking... shocker.

friday night we played a game with all in the house. i set up the board, explained the rules, and orchestrated the start of the game. in spite of all this exhausting work, the rest of the crew had the nerve to make fun of me. cold blooded. there was this cat neck pillow at the house so i received it and had my own little godfather moment. surprisingly, it was not nearly as dramatic.

on wedding day, the guys went to the church early for pictures and getting dressed. we definitely brought cornhole for the downtime but not the camera. men...

kel came later with the ladies, bringing q along. this may have been the only time he was still during the wedding. it was right at nap time thus kel did not get to see as much of the wedding as everyone else. he looks so tired! eden, however, looks full of life. from what i heard, she was great during the wedding.

here is the happy couple entering the reception. sarah looked beautiful and panther looked dapper.

three pretty ladies: katie, kelli, and brandy. it was so good to see our boston friends.

the rehearsal was right on the lake so we took a few moments to walk around outside and get some pictures. q enjoyed all the boats, especially when they would drive by. it was quite fun watching him.

team thomason left right after the reception to get some driving in while the girls slept. below: hold music. it never dies...

the girls...

wedding tyson... keeping the dance floor hopping for decades. q never got his nap, but he lasted until 9:45. the last hour was spent on the dance floor with tyson and kelly, with the last 15-20 minutes spent sleeping on ty's shoulder. kelli, kelly, and the cooks took him home so tyson and i could stay til the end.

after the wedding but before the reception, sarah kindly took the wedding party and spouses out to the dunes for some family pictures. it was lovely. this is one kelly puetz took.

and another. q looks so happy. for only having one nap, he was awesome. of course, i didn't have to deal with him during the actual wedding.

to end, here is a group of us with the boston folk. left to right, teams besancon, puetz, panther, thomason, demuth, and cook.

it was wonderful to see our friends and it was truly a blessing to be at, nonetheless be a part of, dan and sarah's wedding. we look forward to loving and supporting them in their journey through marriage.
