london calling

finally, the end of our london trip. when we left you, we had just finished visiting salisbury and stonehenge, driving back to london for a lovely indian food dinner for all except b & p who ate gross cheese and even more gross blah blah du canard. the next morning, we awoke and went to the tower of london, stopping by the london branch of the k&l gates office for katie. here i am defiant with my two umbrellas. no idea why, but i enjoy the picture.

the tower was pretty neat... we unfortunately missed out on the beefeater tour due to a light sprinkling, but after going through the inside part of the tower, we came out to lovely sunshine. here is a picture within the tower of the largest steak and ale in the world. at least that is what i thought.
this picture is just ridiculously cute. michael pushing eden with an indescribable look on his face.
and here we have the origins of the second nickname in a month for thomason. the beefeater, an ex-r.a.f., told t-top that his jacket purchased on portabello road was a welsh army jacket breeding the nickname The Welshman.
here is a picture of me with a beefeater. that is the name of the guards and tour guides at the tower. this guy was a royal *** when i asked if i could get his picture with kelli. he did let both of us get a picture with him, but my face says how excited i was after my exchange with him. he's probably an arsenal or chelsea fan.
it's hip; it's fresh; it's noah's arcade. the welshman and b in a tasty irish pub. bryan is showing the tiredness we all had at this stage of our journey.
that afternoon, b&p went shopping and kel & katie went shopping, and bryan & i went down to camden market to look around at one of the more fun parts of london. we could have stayed for hours, and i wish i would have purchased some more goodies (like the old school leather soccer ball). kel and i didn't realize how frugal we had been and could have afforded ourselves a few more luxuries. oh well... a reason to go back! i also enjoy the guy who saw me taking a picture and decided to wave. we had a good laugh about it after i got the picture.
back in iceland, we didn't have time on the return trip to venture out, but we did determine they love their poofy skirts and the men have quite broad shoulders. i was also able to buy myself a souvenir. kel and i got an iceland magnet (of the flag: http://www.flagsinformation.com/icelandic-country-flag.html) and i got a shirt of the icelandic killer sheep (pic of my shirt to come; looks like this: http://www.quicklunarcop.com/wp-content/uploads/2008_08_21_11h06m09.jpg)
so that concludes our england trip. some highlights are such:
- iceland. absolutely amazing.
- the company, although michael takes the prize for best company. now i know the thomas the tank engine video by heart!
- watching the manchester - arsenal game in an english pub in prime time and not at 3 in the afternoon
- driving on the wrong side of the road
- salisbury
- just being in ingerland with my wife.

I think the woman drawing in that family bathroom sign could hide her kid under her skirt.
