great weekend!

we had such a great weekend - it was exactly what i needed before starting work today. yes, i started work today at MGH as a real PT! but anyway...the weekend started with a rainy friday (big surprise) and a softball game scheduled for 6:30 pm. even though it was pouring and the game ended up getting canceled about 30 minutes after the guys started playing, i had a great time! this was because connie and i just sat in their van, facing the game and halfway watching, and had some good girl time. i love spending time with connie and we don't get together nearly enough. so it ended up being a fun game!

saturday we decided to take bella for her first hike! john and elisa told us about a beautiful park in gloucester (north of boston) near the coast. we were excited and thought bella would have such a great time. boy, were we WRONG! we have no idea why, but bella whined the ENTIRE hike. seriously the entire hour and a half she whined. even when we gave in and picked her up, thinking she didn't want to walk...she whined! we actually have a video of her ridiculousness and a few cute pictures of the hike, but the camera is not cooperating so i'll have to post them later. apparently bella is just a city girl and doesn't like being in the woods. our goal is to change that :)

sunday katie and i decided to take eden and bella to the beach. it was the perfect beach day and it was so fun to lay out on the beach and catch up with katie. and bella was awesome! she loved the beach! she sunbathed with katie and i for a while and even played in the water when i took her down. i was proud of her for being so good, especially since we had to smuggle her in because we didn't know that dogs weren't supposed to be on the beach until we got there. but she was a good girl and no one said anything. eden was so adorable in her bathing suit and big floppy hat and she was incredibly cute when we put her feet in the water. overall, it was warm, sunny, and relaxing and the perfect way to spend a sunday afternoon. thanks katie! again, i will post pictures from the trip soon :)

and the best way to end a weekend: ice cream! john took me to get ice cream before my first day of work. he is such a great husband!
