Easter Weekend

I love Easter weekend. I love the family time, getting dressed up for church, and the traditions we have. Mostly, I love the uninterrupted time to share with my kids what it's all about. What an awesome privilege to be able to share with my precious little ones the truth about how and why Jesus died on the cross for THEM. It's such a sweet time for me and for us as a family.

This year, we started our celebrations on Good Friday with our church Easter egg hunt. They always get to hear about the sacrifice that Jesus made for us and the importance of why we celebrate Easter. This year, Quinn got to help a little and he was so excited.

Picking up eggs as fast as she can!

Finished and ready to check out what they got.

Kat and Elliott joined us for the egg hunt!

The next morning, John read them the story of Easter from their Bible.

Then we made resurrection rolls! My favorite Easter tradition!!

Mommy (with a good view of our baby girl!) explaining the story and how to make the rolls.

This was the first year we set their baskets out before they woke up that morning. They were so excited!

Dressed up for church and looking so snazzy!

I love these last two - the way she is looking at him just makes my heart melt.
