Austin

In March, we celebrated our 10th anniversary! So much has happened since we got married 10 years ago, yet it also still feels like it just happened. I can't believe it's been 10 years. We joked about remembering having a conversation on our honeymoon about going back to Maui for our 10th anniversary. Ha. Well with 2 kids plus another on the way, a mortgage, and student loans there is no way that's happening anytime soon! That's reality!

So instead of Maui, we chose the next best option and drove down to Austin with the kids ;). Since it was spring break, we decided to make it a combination anniversary / mini-vacation / babymoon adventure with all of us. It was so fun and we all loved it! I'm sure someday we will vacation just the two of us again...

Amazing breakfast at the Counter Cafe to start our day!

I just love my sweet boy!

Enjoying a morning walk on South Congress

Q loved climbing rocks in Zilker Park!

Little sister made it to the top, too! Love the Austin skyline in the background.

That afternoon we also climbed to the top of Mount Bonnell. It was so fun going with the kids because we got to see parts of Austin that we don't normally visit. It was beautiful!

Enjoying the view

We went back to our flat to get cleaned up for dinner. Apparently we did a good job of wearing them out! C just passed out on the couch while everyone else was getting ready.

We had a really great dinner that night at a food truck park. The Kebabalicious food truck did not disappoint! John and I got kebabs, the kids got a sampler platter with hummus, falafel, pita, tzatziki, and baba ghanoush, and we all shared greek fries. It was so good!!

We also got free entertainment with our meal :)

And of course, we couldn't go without Amy's ice cream to end a great day!

I got lucky enough to share a tiny bed with these crazy little kids. We were all wiped out after a busy day!

The next day we played outside again in the beautiful weather and just soaked up every minute of our family time.

The kids had fun on this tree pretending they were riding dragons.

Running with daddy

This girl. Oh my. We got stuck in traffic and it took us several hours longer to get home than it should have. But we had plenty of entertainment because she did not stop talking the ENTIRE car ride. There was one point during the drive when she talked for 45 minutes about wanting us to buy her long hair like Rapunzel. Literally 45 minutes. Just about hair. She's hilarious and I now know what my mom meant when she used to tell us (mostly Kat) that her ears needed a rest after a long car ride.
