our doctor, dr. cummings. he was the sole reason we went to denton presbyterian. ask us offline about our thoughts of the hospital, but let it suffice to say that if he was not practicing there, we would not be delivering there. he is one of the leading doctors in support of vbac's (google it, if you don't know) and he was extremely helpful in lowering kelli's stress levels about having a vbac as well as giving her the confidence that she could have a natural birth.
this daughter loves her mommy. she was resting on kelli this morning and we caught her smiling. so pretty....
this was her going home outfit. butterfly's to match her room.
ruffles on the butt... oh my. i am sure every dad sighed the first time his daughter was put in something like this.
in the car seat preparing to go home. she is so little!
here we go in search of quinn and bella!
mom sat in the back with caroline. she will heap high praise on natural birth over a c-section as even with all her complications, the ride home was not unbearable at all. quite a dissimilar experience to driving around pot-holed boston after young quinn.
carrying my baby into our house.

this is something we did with bella when bringing home quinn. it is supposed to make the dog think you are asking for acceptance regarding the new family member. we let bella sniff a used blanket of caroline's, then we let bella sniff caroline, and then we have bella lead us into the house as if she is then stating she approves of an addition to the household.
once quinn woke from his nap, we let brother and sister get to know each other. q was enamored by c and he was very sweet dealing with her. he did want to make sure we knew where her eyes were and almost poked out each one. he will make a fantastic big brother.
he even gave her a kiss. lucky girl!!
big brother - little sister. i am thrilled to see where the future leads these two siblings.
every time i look at her face i feel blessed. she is a superstar.
while caroline was being doted over, q slipped away to have a snack in his chair.
these last two are of the nursery. kelli did a great job decorating it.

she found some butterfly decals online that really make the room pop. i can see it serving caroline for many years to come.

that is all for tonight. kelli is doing much better... still sore but now everything is just related to the fact that she gave birth... not to complications arising from that. thank you all for your prayers.... please continue them but know that we are seeing signs of God's faithfulness and provision.
