Before Christmas, we decided that instead of getting each other presents this year we would save our money and take a little trip before Quinn is born. Most people would call this a "babymoon", however John thinks that's a dumb name. So we aren't allowed to call it that. Anyway, last weekend we took our "trip before the baby comes" to Newport and it was perfect. We toured the Breakers mansion (built by the Vanderbilt family), walked around downtown, ate at some delicious restaurants, and enjoyed a relaxing night away from home and all of the baby stuff that still needs to be done. Here's a picture of the Breakers:

When we got back to Boston, we unpacked and then headed to the Garden to watch the Mavs beat the Celtics! We spent the first 10 minutes or so looking around the arena - we were literally the ONLY Mavs fans there! Which just makes the victory that much sweeter :). (And yes, I did squeeze into my old size small Mavs t-shirt for the game. It was not pretty and I'm not posting the picture where you can see how tight it was on my belly!)
