littering and... littering and... littering and...

school started today for me... i only have seven classes left (five after this semester), but it is at the stage where i am having trouble seeing the end. the first class i have is graduate financial accounting, which is going to be about as boring as it sounds. it will be my second class with this professor who likes accounting a little too much, but i am interested to pick his brain as to why he enjoys accounting. i have not really figured out too many reasons for enjoying it, however that is one of the reasons why i signed up for the course offered from this professor.

my second class is ethics in management, which has great potential. it will be a small class and the book is just a collection of articles. i am assuming it will be a class full of papers and group projects, but when it comes to ethics i have distinct thoughts and beliefs... something that cannot be said for accounting.

going back to that first thought about having trouble seeing the end: i do not believe i have learned all that much through the mba program. i would argue that the only thing the mba has done for me is attempt to change the way i think through problems or handle different situations. i imagine current and future employers will view my completion of the mba program as a sign that i can persevere and finish a job i start. at least that is what i keep telling myself every tuesday from 4:30 to 10:00 when i would rather be at home with my two girls...

on a lighter note, i finished "the giver". my apologies to katie, but i did not feel it wonderful. i thought lowry got through 150 pages, got bored, and ended the book in 20 pages most abruptly. i am now reading david baldacci's the collectors along with the continual reading of randy alcorn's heaven. oh, don't forget this book: intermediate accounting!

So funny. I like what you have to say about your mba school. I remember one time you told me you'd rather gnaw off your arm than go to class.

I am trying to read David Baldacci's Total Control and I can't get into it. Brian finished the Collector's in like 3 days. Am I the only Non-David Baldacci fan? Maybe if I learned to spell his name properly...
