pre-Christmas festivities

this december has been filled with fun christmas activities and we are having so much fun introducing quinn to what this season really means. i know it will be a while before he really gets it, but for now it's so fun to watch him just taking it all in.

a few weeks ago our church had our annual christmas tree giveaway event. john and the rest of the committee did a fabulous job planning the event and we gave away over 150 free trees to our neighbors. quinn and i had a fun time at the giveaway visiting with our friends and looking at the animals in the petting zoo.

the next week, john's parents came to visit. among other things, we had a really fun time at edaville usa - quinn got to sit on santa's lap and ride a carousel, we rode a train through the light display, and we enjoyed yummy hot chocolate / hot tea while we walked around the grounds. it was a really fun night and quinn loved looking at all the lights!

and we successfully survived quinn's first visit with santa...no tears!

now that santa is updated on what quinn wants for christmas, we can't wait for him to arrive! only a few more days!
