quinn started crawling exactly 1 week before his 9 month birthday and is getting really fast! i already did some baby-proofing but i still feel like i'm always chasing him around to make sure he's not getting into anything he shouldn't. plus, this kid has no fear! he's already crawling over thresholds and grabbing everything he can. he has recently started pulling up on things and then letting go with both hands - he can hold his balance for a second but then usually falls over. he is learning how to sit back down once he's standing up and is starting to be able to control that a little better.
some of his favorite things to do are:
-walking. he LOVES to walk (holding onto your fingers) and just laughs the whole time you walk him around the house. he thinks it's especially hysterical if he walks by one of the dogs.
-exploring closets and behind doors
-pulling my magazines off the coffee table and tearing out the pages (and then trying to eat those pages - another reason to keep a close eye on him!)
-digging through bags/buckets and pulling out EVERYTHING inside
-eating! since last month, he has also tried mango, cantaloupe, chicken, and blueberries. there really isn't much he doesn't like. he has also started feeding himself some diced cooked foods like pears, carrots, and sweet potatoes.
he's sleeping about 11 hours at night and taking two 1 1/2 hour naps. eating 4 times/day. and playing a lot in between all of that!

weight: 20.2 lbs (40th percentile)
length: 29.5 inches (80th percentile)
head circumference: 47 cm (90th percentile)
