8 months

on sunday, our sweet little boy turned 8 months old! quinn and i were in texas for jenn's baby shower and some family time while john stayed in boston for a week of working long days for quarter close. we were sad to leave him (and bella!) here but really enjoyed our week in texas.

quinn seems to be growing more and more into a little boy each day! he's constantly discovering new things and he's getting really brave! he has recently started rocking on his hands and knees as he tries to reach for toys though his favorite things to go for are cell phones, tv remotes, and bella's ball! he also scoots forward and backward on his bottom to get where he wants to go. his favorite thing to do, though, is stand up and he's getting really steady and really brave. he often stands while only holding on with one hand and has even started taking away both hands...which usually results in falling back down on his bottom. he loves to "walk" and can walk from room to room in our apartment with someone holding his hands.

he still loves to eat and in the past month has started eating star puffs. he made horrible faces at first as he got used to the texture, but now loves them and is working on being able to pick them up and eat them on his own. since last month he has also tried peaches and pumpkin and likes both of them.

quinn brings us so much joy and we're so thankful that we've been blessed to have such a precious child. we love his smiles and how he's so happy all the time. we can't help but laugh at his sweet giggles and goofy faces. the way he crosses his legs when he is playing or relaxing always makes us smile. i love the way he holds on so tightly when i'm holding him and how he smiles and puts his head on my shoulder if he's feeling a little shy in a large crowd. here are some pictures of our little man at 8 months old!
