scissor kick in your face

so this quarter close has been exceptionally frustrating for some reason. fortunately for me, the newbury comics fairy came and i was able to run down at lunch to get the album released october 6 i was eagerly anticipating: jemina pearl's break it up. without getting into what a let down the album is compared to her previous, awesome band "be your own pet", the cover art got me thinking of a question: what are your top 5 albums that you own with the worst cover art? below is jemina's cover, which i think may break into my top 5. simply awful. keep reading, as more definition to the question is below...

first... you have to own the album. therefore, even though wham! may be the worst cover for a cd ever, if you don't own it you cannot put it (although my bro may just own him some wham!).

second... if you have an album you don't like, we are only talking cover art. z may not like at the drive-in's "in/casino/out", the welshman may not like underoath's "they're only chasing safety", and kel may not care for the screaming in emery's "in shallow seas we sail", but there is no denying how cool each cover art is. (and for the record [no pun intended... no, pun intended], all those albums are awesome).

finally... we are doing worst covers to records. we can discuss the five best at a later date.

hopefully this weekend i can find time to rummage through my booklets. i went through the a's so far, and ryan adams' "gold" is trying very hard to be my first terrible cover. already one through a's.... jemina may just luck out.
