weekend fun

i guess since john wrote that i would blog about last weekend, i have to do it! :)

we had a great time with my parents in boston over the weekend. they came to visit from friday night to tuesday morning. we had some great meals - we took them to the famous acapulco's mexican restaurant for valentine's day and as always it was so yummy! we even met an aggie and his family there as we were walking out and they said that acapulco's is the only mexican place they will eat up here. we agreed! we also went to atlantic fish company on boylston street downtown and it was amazing. i think that is my new favorite seafood restaurant! i had swordfish piccata with grilled asparagus and crushed new potatoes. SO GOOD! on monday we drove up to portsmouth, new hampshire. we ate lunch and walked around for about 30 minutes until dad decided that it was way too cold to be walking around outside. i guess when you're used to texas weather, 35 degrees feels pretty cold. however, since john and i have been used to 15 degree weather, it didn't feel too bad. john actually didn't even wear a coat that day and i just had on my light pea coat. it's amazing how your definition of cold changes after a few winters up here!

overall we had a really wonderful time and were so glad they came to visit. i really miss them not being just a short drive away and i appreciate every minute i have with them when they're here! thanks mom and dad for coming to visit us! we love you!
